What happens when you give a recycled disposable camera loaded with Aeroplane 200 film to someone who knows how to throw a party? You get the first episode of Bucharesters’ Lives, our new collaborative side series with the one and only Bucharest Central Memes.
This project is all about giving our cameras to real people in the city and letting them capture their world as it unfolds.
For the debut, we passed a camera to DJ Mă-ta, whose name you’ve definitely seen on posters if you’ve ever wandered through Bucharest’s nightlife. She took it with her to one of her DJ sets, snapped throughout the night, and gave us back a roll filled with friends, movement, lights, sweat, and a whole lot of personality. The kind of shots only a party survivor could get.
All of it was shot on our limited edition recycled disposable cameras, loaded with Aeroplane 200, our playful color film made for moments like this. They’re part toy, part time capsule, and now they’re part of the story.
